The IX Annual Conference of the Society of Operations Management will be held this year between December 16 and 18, 2005 at the School of Management, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry, India. This Conference aims to bring together academics and practitioners of Operations Management in the backdrop of the current wave of globalisation of markets, economies and supply sources. In addition to the regular and contemporary coverage of Operations Management, special Tutorials and a Students' Doctoral Consortium are also part of the conference. The Doctoral Consortium will be held on the first day of the conference, followed by the main conference on the next two days.
